Short biography

Noosha Aubel was born on 4 December 1975 in Hanover. She holds a degree in education and a master's degree in Organizational Management. Before being elected mayor, she worked in several municipal administrations, including as Potsdam's deputy mayor responsible for education, culture, youth and sport from 2017 to 2023, followed by a role as a city councillor and department head in Flensburg.

In the runoff election on 12 October 2025, the independent candidate received 72.9 percent of valid votes. Noosha Aubel has been Mayor of Potsdam since 24 October 2025. Her regular term of office ends in October 2033.
